My name is Anastasiia, and I am an organizer of cultural initiatives aimed at promoting Ukrainian culture abroad. Currently, I live in Halifax, Canada, and actively work on uniting the local community through cultural events.
I initiate events that not only showcase the richness of Ukrainian culture but also foster dialogue and interaction among people of different nationalities. At the moment, I am focused on organizing film screenings that will help popularize Ukrainian stories and cinema to a broader audience.
My goal is to create a space where Ukrainian art and stories can be heard, inspire the community, and promote mutual understanding.

Hi! My name is Viktoriia Oleksiienko, and I'm from Bucha, Ukraine. Since March 2024, I’ve been living in Halifax. With a background in history and humanitarian studies, I am passionate about the power of cultural diplomacy to connect communities, promote understanding, and foster a sense of shared values.
With experience in event organization, marketing, and social media, I am adept at bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences. My volunteer work also speaks to my adaptability and hands-on approach: from clearing debris in Kyiv Oblast to donating blood, translating documents, and supporting community-driven initiatives, I am always ready to contribute in practical ways.
I enjoy building relationships, expanding my network, and strengthening ties within the Ukrainian community. To me, Kinotoloka offers a unique opportunity to unite with people around the shared experience of Ukrainian cinema, collaborate with like-minded individuals who share my values, and promote, preserve, and protect our cultural heritage by using film as a powerful tool to highlight the stories, culture, and experiences of Ukrainians.
